This 1840's townhouse in
the historic district of Cambridge, MA was redesigned as a writing
retreat for two poets.
While the original house remained largely intact,
the interiors were transformed using a restrained, modern language.
The entry hall was reconfigured as a gallery with
natural light from above.
Winner of a 1998 Boston
Society of Architects Interiors Award and a 2000 IIDA Residential
Design Award.
